This card was made for a sketch challenge with the optional theme of "garden". I wrestled with how I would create the card for some time before I decided to use a beautiful striped Stampin' Up! (SU) Designer Series Paper (DSP) called "Forever Greenery". I pulled by colors from this multi-hued green paper for everything except the flowers.
For the flowers and leaves I used the wonderful SU die set called "Pierced Blooms" which has radiating petal patterns on each blossom. I die cut them from shimmer paper pads that cut beautifully. In each flower I cut two sets of petals and glued them atop each other. Then put a smooth gem in the center of each one from my stash.
The circle element was die cut with nested circle dies from one of the pretty papers in the SU "Forever Green" DSP.
Everything was glued to the card front except the center orange flower which I attached with foam tape to give the card more depth.
I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5" since the dies make it so easy to create. I may add a sentiment to it later when I decide to whom I will send it for their special occassion.
