Well, I lived, that's about all I can say about this. I could blame it on the fact that I had a reaction to the second Shingles vaccine (I did have a reaction) but that would be giving the vaccine too much discredit. I really struggled with this fold. This was my fourth attempt, you don't even want to know about 1-3, and this one isn't great. It isn't square to itself. Everything was a nightmare about it. I'm a nightmare.
This is for the double dare for the sketch this week, the F4A-the great outdoors (I want to go to Portland, OR to see the Japanese gardens) and this week's color challenge. Also thrown in is the ABC15B2-bokeh technique. Hope you can see that. Used the reinkers of the heather and razzleberry to make a watercolor background, let it dry, then used a larger polka dot stencil with white pigment ink.
All I'm going to say is that people who react to vaccines should not be holding an Exacto knife. Or do much of anything else.

I'm glad you lived; I'm glad you are vaccinated and past the "reaction" part; I'm glad you made this card because it's really lovely. The colors are beautiful and it has the feel of an airy garden and a bit of an Asian feel as well. Love the embossing on the sides too. And, I can see the bokeh. It's a beauty Jean.

Oh, sorry you had a reaction to the Shingrix. I had on the first one, but thankfully not the 2nd.
I love your bokeh. I can definetly see it and it is so pretty in these colors. This card may have been a nightmare but it looks lovely!

Sorry you had such a time. If it's any comfort, I had a lot of trouble with this fold too - my card too way to long! But this is gorgeous and worth your effort. Your bokeh is wonderful, I think your square is amazing and I love the die cuts and embossing. This is one gorgeous multi-challenge card.

Aww! I am so sorry you had a bad reaction. Your card is stunning and so opposite of how it sounds like you were feeling. I love the intricate dies you used!

It looks beautiful from here, Jean, although it sounds as if you didn't experience much Japanese garden style serenity during the creation of it. I love your bokeh panels - and everything else.

Very serene colors. The bokeh is lovely. The embossing folder textures add great eye appeal. The inlaid chrysanthemum type flower gives me an Asian flavor. The repeat of the flower is a nice contrast between the inlaid and applied. I only use exacto-knife blades for cutting tiny interior sections on fussy cut images. I find it is impossible to cut square corners with ruler. And, my first Fiskars cutting board was not aligned correctly, gave me fits for months until I trashed it and bought another. I think the guide wire was out of whack. I love that you are "tackling" these fold challenges instead of running in fear. Dumping in the trash can be quite cathartic at times. Turn on some Rocky music and keep at it. Thanks for taking the Double Dare and not giving up. Beautiful result.

This is beautiful Jean and sorry to hear that you had a reaction to the second vaccine jab. I’m impressed that you even attempted a fold. I can also see the bokeh. TFS. Happy day

You persisted and you won, Jean. This is beautiful! Wonderful bokeh. I'm sorry you had a reaction to the shot, hoping you are better now. As for the Japanese gardens in Portland, they are so lovely! I hope you get to visit there soon.
