I'm not sure these are violets but they make me think of violets. I knew this is what I would try as soon as I saw Karen's color challenge for this week: Pear Pizzazz, Highland Heather, Rich Razzleberry with May Flowers for dessert.
I blended the colors onto the white die cut flowers. The butterfly was cut from cardstock that had been lightly colored with Pear Pizzazz. It's a half butterfly that was cut twice and layered for a 3-D look. I also added a little Wink of Stella to the wings. The scalloped rectangle was cut out twice and layered for a little more of an "architectural" white on white statement.
Thanks for looking. I hope you will play along with us this week!

I love white die cuts that have been inked. the colors are so soft on the leaves and the butterfly. The flowers bring in darker and rich shades and are so striking. Soooo Pretty!

Chris your floral arrangement is simply elegant! You always are thinking outside the box such as cutting your butterfly in half and layering it. I always look forward to see what you are going to come up with next! Beautiful design!

I just received these Meadow dies and can't wait to start creating with them. Your bouquet couldn't be more lovely. Your painting of the white die cuts adds so much depth to the flowers and I love the little resting butterfly. Your scalloped frame really adds to the delicate feel of this creation ~ Gorgeous and faved!

So pretty. I did white silhouettes for my card to that I rubbed the ink from the mini pad onto the paper. These colors look so beautiful against this pristine white card.
