Congratulations, Elizabeth (aka beadsonthebrain), on becoming our Featured Stamper this week! I enjoyed perusing your beautiful gallery and chose this pretty card to CASE: Time Well Spent by beadsonthebrain at Splitcoaststampers
Had this sunflower die (Simon Says) for a while and needed some inspiration - thanks, Elizabeth, this is just what I needed. I cut the flower twice, sponged, colored and paper pieced, which gave it dimension.
I created a two-tone focal, changing the three sections to two. Used a single, but different flower and different sentiment. Different colors and added a yellow base.
I hope you enjoy your week in the spotlight, Elizabeth!

Yowza! So beautiful and eye catching in the black and white, and that sunflower die is amazing, PJ!

Priscilla, this is a lovely case of Elizabeth's card. I love the black and white background layers and how it sets off your gorgeous sunflower. The rounded black layer creates such interest and I love how the die cut sentiment pops on the white.

Your black and white matting is the perfect backdrop for this gorgeous die cut flower. It just pops off the black and your sentiment just pops off the white. It looks fun and sassy yet still elegant and dramatic. Wonderful card.
