You all know that recycling is one of my favorite challenges, so thank you for that, Sabrina. And Happy Earth Day. I searched through my drawer of treasures and came across these photos that I saved from my Gram's stuff. I couldn't let them be thrown away. But now I feel kind of bad like I should've brought them to the Middleboro Historical Society. These are the senior photos of some of Gram and Gramp's friends. This is Mary and Kenny, Middleboro High Class of 1944. I love Kenny's hair and Mary's pretty bow. I also found this piece of newspaper in my drawer. I have no idea where I got it. It's a Boston newspaper called The Congregationalist from 1888!! So I obviously didn't have to distress that at all. I die cut the frames around the photos from the back of an old Easter card in my bin of old cards. Then I rubbed Nuvo expanding mousse over it and dragged my Black Soot ink pad over it. I also grabbed a couple of 1 cent stamps from my drawer and distressed them with brown Distress inks. I though Mary and Kenny paired pretty well with the "We wanted to be adults so bad, now look at us." sentiment. I should put this out on Facebook. I may have some friends that know Mary or Kenny...I hope they wouldn't be offended that I turned their photos into cards.

Look at that hairstyle on Kenny. Fab photos, Jen. I love that you found newspaper that would have looked old even to them . And the moussed frames remind me very much of all the old leather framed photos of various great-great ancestors - with velvet lining.

Oh yeah, this is fabulous and fun with that hairstyling. Love all the elements you included and old objects you used. You should put this on FB. Maybe one of their relatives would like to have the photo and getting it as a card would be the perfect way to display it. Fab card.
