This is attempt 7 at today's "free flowing butterfly" challenge. Number 2 had a great flow and beautiful blend of colors - but then I added the sketched outlines with a black pen as suggested by the video artist and realized that absolutely ruined the look for me. Loose is hard for me to do so I got several pieces with overworked blobs before I got this on which had at least bit more looseness to it. So on this one, once fairly dry, I went back with a #4 long round picking up a slightly deeper shade of the cerulean blue and used that to add just a bit more definition to the wings instead of the pen. Finished with an old SU sentiment.

Oh, Linda, this loosely flowing water colored butterfly looks so Pleasing to the eye! Number 7 is definitely a Charm and I'm so happy that you persisted! Love your pretty splatters and the colors you chose. A real Beauty indeed~ Hugs
*I know what you mean about that black fine tip pen. I messed up and had to take out some color, but I straightened it out without notice~

My eyes are sure liking what I see here. Lovely colors with the blues and pinks. You really have great control with your brushes....not many people would prefer to add details with a brush verses a fine line marker. I applaud you for doing it freehand!!!! Always wait for your creation, and you do not disappoint.

Indeed, another beauty from you. I love the edging of the butterfly wings not completely filled in. I'm glad I am not the only one who sends some to the trash until I get one I like.

Oh! I really like the look of this one! I can see this hanging in a bedroom! I like how you went back in with paint for the definition instead of the black ink pen. Beautiful!
