Truth be told, this sketch was a bit of a challenge for me. I had a few measuring/cutting issues. In the first round, all of my measurements were off. Take two, some measurements were off. After three tries, I finally got it!
The paper that I used today is from an old 6 x 6 pad from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found collection. I hardly have any papers left from that pad so, you would have thought I might have been more careful with my cuts. Well, my usual position is "measure once, cut twice". Thankfully, it all worked out in the end and I still have some patterned paper left.
Enjoy!

I almost don't want to say this, but to me your embossed bg steals the show, Marianne! I've never seen anything like it and it's so pretty. I really like the fancy framed Hello in the center and simple dp's to back it up.
You probably have already learned this, but I wanted to share that since I wasn't sure of the measurements, I decided to use my scrap paper to cut out squares and stick my 3 squares on them to see if they worked. The first inner square/diamond worked perfectly, but I needed to enlarge the outer square/diamond. So I'm glad I didn't waste any cs in the process. Too bad we don't get measurements with these sketches.....

The embossed background really announces "quilt" and the little inchie squares nail it. I was off in my measuring, too, but I just skipped one layer. The sketches are inspirational, not requirements. So, next time, if you have some great DP that shouldn't go to waste- just wing it. Your compliments will still flow for your creative, adaptive, resourceful genius!
