I made this card for our end-of-the-month "Tickle a Teapotter" Challenge: "Browner Side of the Fence" by Denise, CardCrazy. She suggested: "Today is for taking stock in things you do have, whether it be a roof over your head, a family, a job, or something else. Celebrate the day by making a card of something that is "green" on your side of the fence." March 30th is âGrass is Always Browner on the Other Side of the Fence Day." I had never heard of that!
I wanted to use my dancer stamps and the great sentiment, "Life may not be the party we had hope for but while we're here we might as well dance." I think it is so appropriate for the times we're living in.
I stamped my dancer and die cut her out, adding green ink to the edges of the image to make her stand out. I stamped some green and added the sentiment, fussy cutting it out. I die cut my tree out of patterned paper. I used a music background to stamp the front of the card using Olive green. I glued down the tree on my music bg and used 3D pop dots to add the dancer and sentiment.
Denise, thanks for a wonderful challenge! I'm so grateful that I can still dance no matter what, no matter where. My husband may disagree with the statement that I can dance! LOL However, just like singing, I don't care how I look or what I sound like...it's all about the joy I find in doing it!

I agree with you, I love to sing and would love to dance but my knees don't agree with me, I love your tree even the leaves look like music falling down, pretty background and always love to see this dancing girl

Oh, cool! Love the stamped background for the sentiment and your tree is AMAZING. I'd love to see it in yellow, like a laburnum. This one made me think of wisteria. Favourited - the combination of the uncoloured image on the music is fab.

Beautiful background and one of my fave images/sentiments. This is a beautiful card, Gracie, and you definitely should dance and sing as much as possible. Kick any naysayers out of the way.
My hubby told me a few months ago that I can't sing. I was shocked. I know I can't sing, but I wondered why he was just noticing it... I realized I am getting louder when I sing because I am not as afraid of what people think - one of those joys that come with getting older - LOL!
Dance away my friend. Hugz

Love the whole theme you have going on here. The music in the bg with your dancing woman and one of my favorite sentiments. Love how the hanging vines frame you woman as she whirls to nature's tune.

That tree is so atmospheric and goes so well with your dancer and the saying. What a cool theme and card. This past year has certainly given us all time to reflect on what is important, hasn't it.

Great card. Love your dancing gal under that beautiful tree. I, too, love to dance and no longer care what it looks like when I do. Moving and grooving to the music brings joy and life is way to short to care what the critics think. I just wish I could lift my legs that high. LOL.

This card is absolutely gorgeous! Love all the greenery (that actually somewhat resemble musical notes) cascading down over the beautifully shadowed dancer, and of course the sentiment tells the story. Also, that little touch of purple really blends beautifully with the overall green! Love this!!

Love the combination of the joyful dancer under the spreading tree, the music score background, and the sentiment. Everything works perfectly together.
Your card made me think how awesome it would be to dance under the trees and not care whether it looks 'right'. It is a beautiful thought...an idea that your card conveys so well! Love every element of your card!
