This card was made for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #413 ( http://atlanticheartschallenge.blogs...ketch-413.html ). The sketch showed flowers, but I wanted to sentiment to be front-and-center, so I made the floral elements by stamping small floral motifs into a pattern I had embossed onto white cardstock.
I then used the Stampin' Up! (SU) die set "Happy Birthday" and cut one from the flamingo colored paper and two from black paper, then stacked and offset them as I glued. This gives the sentiment more height and shadowing for added dimension.
The final step was to glue the sentiment into the center of the card. This card would also work for a guy by just changing the color of cardstock and ink.
I am rating the difficulty level as a "2" out of a possible "5". The hardest part is eye-balling the placement of the little motifs inside the impresions.
