I am so cheesed off and frustrated with broken links that I am breaking with years of habit and not providing links. Dina's Pantone Colours MIXed media challenge is in that forum, the sanded pencil background is in Tutorials. I got as close as I could with the colours...
ETA - I have no idea what they are meant to be. I see them as steampunk penguins, maybe. They definitely have wings.
My first thought when I saw her challenge was a sweet LOTV stamp with a little bear in a field of flowers. I love doing that in grey and yellow, but essentially I'd be re-working earlier inspiration. These guys were on my desk waiting to be used, and I thought they'd look good in grey and yellow
I stamped and masked them, masked the background, misted the foreground and sprinkled grey Brusho over it. Masked the foreground and used the sanded pencil background tutorial, with just yellow, and the circle explosion stencil. Removed all the masking and coloured the critters in yellow and grey, with a hint of pink in the beaks. Snouts?? Added some shading underneath them. Stamped the sentiment from Unity and cut it up to use in strips because otherwise I'd have needed an outsize card to fit them. Added a few sequins into the circle background. Since I'm off work today I might yet use my little bear, but at least here is something totally new, and it has also confirmed to me that I want to cut the critters apart into individual stamps. I used the group just as it had come in the original plate. p.s a couple of the sentiment strips are popped up, and I coloured the hearts in Friends and Family in yellow.

So what are these adorably funny looking creatures??!! I love them, whatever they are. Anteaters? And yes, gray and yellow are perfect for them. I'm absolutely in love with these guys and what you did with them. And I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment. I'm starting to see a few friends, on and off, my family is now even more spread out, haven't seen most of them in months and months and months. Oh I favd this!

This is such a fun cool card Sabrina. It makes me smile. I don’t know what those animals are but they look fun. Your BG is gorgeous and yes friends do become family. I’m sorry that you are still having problems with the links. I add them in but not sure whether they stay there. It is frustrating and hopefully they can get it all fixed. Keep well. Happy weekend. Hugs.

So, I think this is one of those times when an animal looks so odd that it's cute. Love your family of quirky critters, but I especially love your sentiment. That has been so true throughout my life. And they look great in grey surrounded by yellow. Sorry you're frustrated. That's hard when making cards and sharing them is something that is suppose to be fun and a stress reliever. Take a deep breath and color some cute bears. I hope you post them too even if they are similar to past card. Hugs.

Love your gray Brusho background and yellow dots...great backdrop for your "steampunk penguins!" Love your wonky, angled sentiment and pop of sequins to finish!
