I've quite often cut along the edges of the curves in D'vine Swirl, but I didn't have a lot of other folders I thought would work well. One which did was really more or less a straight line with slight shaping to follow a decorative border, so I thought I'd try again with SU's Elegant Lines. That worked quite well - and it embosses very deeply so it was easy enough to ink. I'm thinking that the reason the inking in the video was so clean was because it was such a detailed embossing folder; normally the only way I can be sure of not having ink in the debossed spaces is to use a marker to add the colour in the first place!
I used a brown Archival ink for highlighting the embossing, then trimmed along the curling lines. Added some Stickles in the centre of all the dots. I used foam and layered it up over a piece of card stamped with En Francais in Weathered Wood DOX. The flowers are from Embrace Life, stamped on card sponged with picked raspberry and festive berries distress, and with Nuvo drops for the centre and on the stamens. Punched foliage, and an Elizabeth Crafts ladybird cut from the same sponged card as one of the flowers - and with Stickles on her wings.

I think I have that folder or a similar one, thought about using it. I had never thought of cutting out around a folder so you are ahead in creativity. Using the script was the perfect accompaniment. You're right about the ink swiping, I did another yesterday that I hadn't used yet, ink all over. But I think it will still be useful.

Your card using the technique is beautiful, Sabrina! I actually have not tried it because I know I will mess it up. But your tip of using a marker to add color instead of an inkpad might help - it'll make me a bit braver about it, LOL! Love the sponged flowers, the script panel underneath, and the cute ladybug!
