I had wanted to revisit Lydia's MIX346 Faux Reductive Painting for some time. And I did - but long enough ago that I can no longer tell you what the blue base layer is. It looks like Brushos on watercolour paper. It's been sitting in my unfinished project tray for months, and yesterday came the time to move it to finished...I do know that it was a TH Wildflower Stems die that I used for my mask. Yesterday I trimmed it down to be narrower than a card front and added matt gold borders, a gold embossed sentiment and some Liquid Pearls in the centre of the flower. From my butterfly pot on the desk, this one had a nice contrast in the red and a matching blue, so it took flight. I added some wire antennae.

Wow...that dark bg really makes the lovely stem pop. Perfect idea to go with the red butterfly. What a wonderful idea to have a butterfly pot on your work table.i will have to copy your idea.

Oh WOW Sabrina, that gorgeous blue against the black is so stunning and dramatic. The gold touches just add to the elegance. Love the touch of blue in the butterfly to tie it all together. This is simply fabulous.
