As I've been in Florida for a few months while my DH is working remotely- wanted to make a themed quilt. I used 5 inch square "sandwiches", with the black fish tales fabric as my constant pattern, adding lots of batiks and a few other fabrics from my stash. Sewed 2 diagonal parallel lines, then cut those sandwiches in half diagonally between the sewn lines to make half square triangles (HSTs), trimming HSTs to 4 inches square. Added acombo border a thin lime green inside border and a larger striped outer border. Lots of the squares were hand sewn while watching television over the last 3 months.
