I've had Best Blossoms for a long time but have never really used it. I somehow used it for three cards this weekend and feel like I'm on a roll. I have never been very good using solid stamps. I never seem to be able to get a good, full image and there always seems to be a faded part to the image. I decided to combat that problem by using the image as a template and to paint over to make it look like a painted image instead of just stamped.
I cut an oval with my coluzzle to create a mask and placed over the Watercolor paper. I stamped the three blossoms using a mask and then stamped the greenery around the blossoms. I took a watercolor brush filled with wash made of Pretty in Pink reinker and water and washed all around in the flowers. I made a more concentrated wash of reinker and made darker areas on the blossoms to give to give texture and interest. I washed all the leaves with a Certainly Celery reinker wash and then used Olive Olive and Summer Sun reinkers to fill in and give texture. I used a brown artist pen to put dots in the flower centers and then painted with Barely Banana and Summer Sun reinkers. I sponged the entire scene with Barely Banana to create the oval frame. I used the small blossoms stamp to create the bg for the pink layer and Floral bg for the green,

Again another Beautiful card with this set by you Kittie. You should frame your art, They are really masterpieces. thanks for giving directions on how you did it.
