After seeing all the pretty Northern Lights cards and panels, I had to try it.
Gesso covered BAJ pages do not take color like watercolor paper and at first I totally panicked as my colors took on some directions of their own. I planned to repaint them, but after they dried, I loved the different directions they took.
So this is a bit crazy, but I like how it came out. I am going to try it again and take Debbie's suggestion to do it on John 8-12 - I am the light of the world or John 1:5 or something similar.
Because the next page in my Bible was Proverbs 3, that is where I did it. Knowledge and instruction are like light so it works. King Solomon wrote most of this book and his words are inspiring and instructive. During this time in our world, these words are particularly useful. They speak to me - hope they do to you too.
Thanks for the video, Brenda, and thanks to all who did the challenge and inspired me.

Awesome that you did Bible Journaling with the Northern Lights and looks like you have a lot a movement just as they seem to, also. Wonderful message with your journaling today and beautiful. Thanks for joining the challenge.

Well your "funky" looks glorious. I think that's how those lights look -- they spiral off in all directions and shapes and shimmers. Love the landscape you created and the passage you chose. Your write-up is as inspiring as your work. Hugs.

All the comments above. Amazing how you can watercolor on these pages. The gesso gave it a beautiful look. Love the northern lights and your shadowing is terrific. Thanks for sharing this page. You give our eyes beauty to look at, and the message gives our minds good thoughts. Hugs my friend.

BEAUTIFUL WORK, Nancy! I was wondering, WHAT is the Bible Journal you are using? I've noticed it is different from others! ;) SUCH A LOVELY JOB & hey, water colors do their own thing whether on WC paper or on your Bible Journal page!!! ;)<3

The horizontal fingers of color look quite nice and from pics I've seen these light can take all kinds of twist and turns. That snowy landscape is just awesome.
