Thanks again, Karen for a great image to work with!! Todays IC challenge: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...94#post2704194
Poor, poor, pitiful me, not one stinking stamp that suited me, so I scavanged through my stencils and found these grapes. Rounded panel, stenciled then overstamped with crackle bg in Brilliance Gold and brushed over with some light brown chalk to give the plate a *crazed* look. Think I ended up more crazed than the plate, just couldn't get things balanced to suit me--that's why they call them challenges!

Wow, Judy, I like this. I understand that you were disappointed that it didn't look like you wished it did, but that crackle with the gold really sings! The stencils give it an old fashioned look, but I definitely see the inspiration piece in your card. I may have to case the layout--rounded with the black BG!

I don't know what you are talking about sometimes, lol. This looks just like a plate my Grandma had, what a warm memory you provided with your inspirational creation. Now can I use it to slap my T-Bone steak on it ( sorry, to my Grandma )
