For today's Teapot: Oriental. I seriously do not have anything oriental, so I'm going with Oriental Coffee Beans! I requested this tea party for Paul who lost not only his mother, but also his wife to covid last month just a few days apart.
I started with the cup cut from dp and sponged, added the sponged and dry embossed sleeve with the "Hi" popped up. I added some whipped cream, a straw and a vellum top. Sponged the edges of white panel, added a few beans, espresso and suede panels and popped up over coffee beans dp and ribbon. I had fun making this card, trying to keep it masculine. Thanks for stopping by! ~Roberta

It's strange but I didn't think about Asian cards bur Oriental which means Marroco, Tunisia and others to me, so coffee is just perfect!!, I've made an oriental card but send another to Paul

Grief is neither masculine nor feminine so any display of sympathy is sure to be appreciated. Perhaps this card will remind him of your friendship and the warmth of a virtual hug.

What a nice card for Paul and since the write up mentioned that you knew the family from church, I think doubly appropriate as SO many churches have a coffee fellowship after services! I love the Pale blue paired with the espresso and chocolate tones.

That must have been so tragic for him, two losses so close to each other. I hope he will be comforted by the Teapotter cards and thoughts.
I really like the herringbone print for the cup!
The coffee works fine for me - we used to have a (small) chain of cafes here established in the 1890s by a Quaker family who imported tea and coffee - Bewley's Oriental Cafe. I haven't been in one for years, but the wallpaper and decor was in line with the name when I was a child.

I think Paul will feel like he's wrapped in a big hug of warmth and love. I love the colors and the patterns you used. I agree with Sabrina that the herringbone on the cup is super. Wonderful and fun card. Thank you for bringing Paul to our attention. I hope he finds some comfort in the cards he receives.

This is a great card. Love the herringbone cup and the colour combo. And what is more comforting than a cup of coffee with whipped cream topping. I'm sorry to hear of your friend's losses and hope he feels loved by your card and the other paper hugs sent his way.
