To finish this card, I used my Encore inkpad direct to paper over the stencil. This ink does not go on smoothly and I had to really push and smear to get it into the stencil. As a result, the image got a bit chunky in places, which I smoothed out some with a finger. I think it made the background a bit vague and moody and I liked that aspect. Also, because I was dragging firmly, it swept past the bottom and created a band of ink at the bottom. I liked that too so I kept it. Mounted the panel on gold cardstock and then a black card base.
Fun to learn new things and always interesting to find what does and doesn't work. I hope you find some new and interesting things today. Learning is one of the things that keeps us young. Thanks for stopping by and TFL.
P.S. As I was making this card, I was also thinking about Sabrina's (Cook22) comment on one of my previous cards about the Eiffel Tower being shrouded in such heavy smog you couldn't see it. I think mine looks like a dim image on this card -- a bit misty.

I think this is the coolest card and learning new things is awesome. Glad you posted and went through the steps you made to create the card. It may not be what you were after in the beginning but I think it is very creative and a pretty card. I smiled about the car dealership...we use all kinds of things, don't we? And, they turn out great, like this.

I'm glad you shared, Debbie! It's beautiful. And the white spots work well, as every hour on the hour the tower lights up. I love the texture in the foreground with the band of ink. But that stencil, wow!!! It also reminds me of Paris - a lot of the old elevator cages are just like that, so I think it's spot on.
