This is my 2nd attempt at todays challenge and while I was happy enough with the shape of my cup (both times) I felt like I struggled with everything that was supposed to be "Sweet" about this image. I don't particularly care for sweets - especially chocolate - so I feel like that may well be reflected in my rendering today or at least my perception of it . . . time for me to just walk away from this and look at it with fresh eyes later today.

This turned out well, Linda. It reminds me of just how many thank yous I still need to make and write. Not sure mine will be hand watercolored however.

Love your cup and the rest, too. Your marshmallows look great and so does the cocoa and straw. What? You don't care for sweets? Wish I didn't.

Oh goodness. So when I view the gallery at 12 per page, there are three cards in a row (downwards) with blue cups! How fun is that! Things like that just make my day! This is a beauty! I think you have done a beautiful job! Your marshmallows are wonderfully defined and I love your candy cane! (I wasn't brave enough to try the candy cane). This looks festive and yummy. I wish I didn't like sweets!

You should be very pleased with your painting and sketching. Your marshmallows look so realistic. Love the candy stick's perspective you created. The white gouache paint is great to cover mistakes. It also splatters well. Always happy to see you join the challenge and add your terrific paintings. TFS

Love the blue cup and you have done a great job. I like some sweet things but sadly my body doesn't - hot chocolate I did used to drink occasionally but not with all the additions!

Oh, I think this is really well done! Your marshmallows look as though they have just been dropped in. Mine look like they have half melted already! Your Peppermint stick, well everything else is also very nice!
