I bought two styles of mini lunch style tins decorated for the holidays in the post-Christmas sales and finally got around to playing with them! I found that they didn't cover well with anything other than paint so I used white acrylic craft paint for both and went from there. Sadly, not large enough to hold a standard cards but some mini cards or perhaps even chocolate???
Initially I had tried sponging StazOn ink over the white tin (it had colored snowflakes on it) but that didn't work however you can just see tinges of the blue StazOn thru the white paint. I think it sorta looks like the sky showing thru for the butterflies. Oh how I wish that I could line up those butterflies a little better...I know that they are designed to not match but I guess I am compulsive, only when it comes to stamping, of course! The hardest part was painting the tin with white and not getting it on the hinges or handle. I sealed with ModPodge after to protect it.
