I'm still playing with this MFT celebrate word die. Today I decided to combine with a rainbow of stenciled balloons for a festive look.
I made my stencil by die cutting the Paper Smooches balloon from acetate.
Cut a panel of PTI Stamper's Select 5 3/4" x 4 1/4". Used 3M post-it tape to mark off an area just a little taller than the balloon, allowing me to more easily get the balloons straight across. Ink blended the balloons, being sure to clean my stencil after each color. (Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade with some Scattered Straw for shadow, Twisted Citron and Tumbled Glass) Used the heat gun to dry and then applied Distress Glaze to set the color.
I then trimmed the panel to be slightly smaller than my A2 card base. Using a T1 Copic marker, I drew in the balloon tails. Added a thin cardstock layer under my focal panel to add dimension and adhered to my card base.
Layered my glittered celebrate over a plain white layer and attached over my balloons. Finished off with some clear star sequins.
TFL.

Oh my goodness, this is beautiful. Now I need to take a look at my balloon dies and make a stencil or two. Love the translucent quality of the overlapping balloons.
