I always make a Santa card for my son on Christmas. I know he has been baking this year so this will be my card to him.
I discovered a trick last night when using the picka punch. It has slots built into it for 1/2, 3/4 and 1 inch slots. My white strip is a tad larger than 1/2 inch but smaller than 3/4 inch. It did not sit on either slot. But I added a touch of adhesive to the back of the piece and temporarily positioned it on the 3/4 inch strip with the smaller piece centered on the strip but extending beyond one end. This makes it possible to get it centered properly without struggle.
For the Free for All Challenge I used card stock, Designer series paper and texture from an embossing folder.
I could not figure out how to create a link to the knitting pin that inspired my card, but it is a pattern for a striped red and white mini stocking with candy canes in it that reminded me of the stripes on the candy cans on my paper.
