Todays challenge is watercolor powder resist - While I love the look of the brushos backgrounds, I still don't own any of these type of products as none of my area stores carry this product and I never quite get around to ordering some . . . . so I had to do my picture with regular watercolor though I did dab on puddles of bright color to try to emulate the powders as best I could.
I stamped the trees with watermark ink and embossed with clear powder. I wet my paper pretty heavily so the puddles of color would bleed and run together. Though the colors were pretty intense going on the did tend to dry more pastel because of all the water I had started with on the paper. Once dry, I computer generated my sentiment and printed on vellum - cut the top with a deckle edged scissors and added a bit of crystal snow.
Angie - Thanks for "back dooring" today's challenge while the site is experiencing difficulties.

Beautifully done with the watercolors....you created the intensity without the powders. I really, really like what you did with the vellum. Very pretty and peaceful card. Sorry about not much information on my card....little problem with the site. The 3D folder is from crafters companion. Sure glad you joined us this week during this busy time to give us this lovely card. TFS

Great job with your watercolors and I have to tell you I love those trees. I think I am getting a thing for trees, the same way I like snowmen and sheep. LOL Love the colors for the background and the vellum was a great idea. Glad you found us so you could play along.

This card is so pretty Linda. Love the colours and those fancy trees are so sweet. I also really like the vellum treatment. Congrats on being a trooper too Linda - you are the best.
Linda!!!! You make me so happy! I am delighted that you took me up on using watercolor and played along with us on such a strange day at SCS! I think this downtime makes us appreciate SCS even more!
Your card is gorgeous! I really like the shape of the trees! Your background looks like a beautiful winter day. I love everything about this.

I'm glad you found a way to play, that's my motto too, we do what we can with what we've got, if you don't got the right stuff, you use what you've got. I love the soft colors and the fun trees, your vellum with sentiment is lovely too
