This panel is for Rebekah's VSN challenge. Check it out and come and play. If you aren't a Fan Club Member, it's worth the investment....not only are there some great challenges (and sometimes prizes) for Fan Club members only, but the ladies are supportive, encouraging and FUN.
I'm also putting it against the alpha challenge for Girly as this is for a girlfriend.
When I read Rebekah's challenge I knew immediately what I was going to create. I have a collage book full of quirky weird stuff and one page is dedicated to hands. I also had this quirky/weird gal that my dear friend Gracie had sent to me some time ago. I fussy cut and coloured her. I love Dylusions stamps and I love Dyan Reaveley so I wanted to make something weird and fun after watching some of her Youtube videos.
The panel was one sitting in my stash that had been made using my gelli plate and a stencil. It looked like a splodgy mess but I've also watched a few Tim Holtz videos and I thought if Timmy can sponge a panel and make it look amazing, so can I. Not quite his standard but hey it came out ok.
Stamped my border and coloured that in places. Added my hand and sat my gal on it. It's to symbolise that I am here to help my girlfriend. This will go to someone who is going through a rough time and needs to slow down and rest occasionally.
Added lots of WoS, sentiment and ribbon and done.
I love creating panels like this. I never have a fixed size but just go with the flow and today this came together exactly how I wanted it to.
I wish you could see how sparkly it is IRL..it's so shiny.
TFL. Happy day.

That gal in the crazy hat does need to slow down and rest some! Then she will find where she put her fish and chicken feet! I love this image and your super BG!

Very fun, Jayne. Love the happy colors and that fun image. Even the hand is fun - kind of makes me think of God's hand holding us up when we are weary! Something we both need right now. GREAT image and great other stamps you used too. FAB creation. Hugz
