I recently came across a package of holiday-themed die cuts from Bo Bunny, that my mom had gotten several years ago to make cards for her kids at school. The package was still unopened (I think she just ran out of time to make cards then), so I decided to pull the die cuts out and see what they were. I divided them into a card-making pile & a scrapbooking pile, depending on size, style, etc. I set aside the scrapbooking die cuts for later, and decided to use up the rest on cards this year. The 2 hearts & star on this card are from that pack.
I first stamped the tree onto a panel of white cardstock. I triple-stamped the base layer with Pine ink, the second layer with Noble Fir, & the third layer with Northern Pine. I stamped the final layer, which I assume is meant for snow, with Yeti pigment ink, just to give me a guide. Then I applied white puff fabric paint over the white ink. The instructions on the paint say to let it dry for several hours before heating it to puff it. But I noticed after a few minutes it was starting to reactivate the green inks & absorb the color. So I quickly hit it with my heat tool, to keep the color leeching from going any further. It didn't seem to have any deleterious effect on the puff paint, so I don't think not letting it dry first really matters.
I stamped the greeting, from "Peace Joy Love," onto a strip of green cardstock with Noble Fir ink. I matted my image panel, adhered it to my card front, and added the greeting so it covered just the very bottom of the tree. Finally, I glued on the 3 die cuts.
