My friend Bev made this card for the color challenge. It's her first color challenge and first time posting. The card is made with a punch and ribbon. It also has glitter dots in the center of each punch but my scanner couldn't pick it up. The ribbon is the color of old olive irl. The two layers are also up on pop dots.

I tried a similar thing a few years ago using little punched out pieces like this, but mine didn't turn out nearly so well as this one. I especially like the center part, where you get a lacy effect with the one square atop the four. The background has me thinking of ways to use punched pieces for a quilted effect (quilting being so popular nowadays, I have plenty of friends who would appreciate a "quilt" card).
Thank you for stimulating my imagination. Good job!

I've made my medallions with corner punches, but never saw a punch like this. Now starts the hunt! Gotta find it, gotta find it, gotta search until I find it!

Yeah, I'll be on the look out for that punch as well. I love it.

I asked my friend Bev for the info and the punch is called Cornice and it's part of the Ornamentals collection by McGill. Their site is www.mcgillinc.com.
