This snowman die is one I got in November as part of Spellbinders monthly subscription. He looked to me to be the happiest of snowmen - JOY just fit. SB shows him on skis but I like him as is, with arms flung out high and a big grin. How happy is that?
All the pieces are cut from colored cardstock (great way to use scraps). For the background I wanted to do some blending and sprinkling with water for a snowfall effect so I used DO in Spiced Marmalade which is very close to Pumpkin Pie. I used a paint brush to flick on some water and then the Picket Fence ink to give a snowfall.
I hope you'll join us this week in a very fun color challenge!

Great minds, Jeanne! I was wondering if you'd use last month's kit, and hoping you'd use the "other" snowman, and you did! I love seeing your take on the kit. He is just so joyous to be "alive," and it shows! Love the big "JOY" greeting, too!

Jeanne, this is a very joyous card. I really love the Spiced Marmalade background. That's one of my favorite Distress Ink colors. It looks great with the "snow" falling. And that snowman... he's just so adorable.

ADORABLE! I feel a CASE coming on... LOL! I don't have those cute dies, but your background atop that perfectly pristine snowbank has my creative juices going nuts this morning!
