A big congrats to Gayle! She has such a lovely gallery & I chose THIS pair of cards to case. I mainly went w/ the one on the left, keeping the cardinal & greenery, but I used different images & dies & used a different layout.
I stamped the lantern & colored it w/ Copics. Did a little out of the box to keep from cutting off the top of the lantern & the tip of the cardinal's tail (trust me..birds do not like you messing w/ their tails).
On the kraft layer, I stamped the new pinecone all over w/ the Distress oxide ink but a left a space for the greeting. The pine green circle was dry embossed & I rubbed some gold rub n buff type paste over the top of it. A white gel pen was used to add some highlights to the greeting.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ Copic colors & links: The Write Stuff

I love how this turned out! Your coloring is beautiful and I really like the image on here. I was just in Virginia looking all day for cardinals...no luck. Thanks for looking at my gallery!

Gorgeous, Julie. You colored up that lantern so pretty and your snow capped words are lovely and fun. I love that little out of the box on the lantern too - adds a special touch. Hugz

Julie, what a great case of Gayle's cards. Your coloring on the image is beautiful and so perfectly realistic. I love the lamp, cardinal and evergreen image. It is very special.
