I built this book-album with chipboard, cut to size to store the tools and paper. I covered it with G45 paper that has patterns similar to zentangle designs. The gifts inside include a range of tangle squares in white, kraft, grey and black, as well as pre-strung mandala 5" round tiles. The pen set is the recommended Sakura Micron black, white gelly pens for drawing on the colored tiles, a pencil and tortillon for shading. All the writing tools are secured in their own removable tray for easy access to the paper storage below. As mentioned in the cover gallery, the focal point of the front cover is a magnetically attached frame for displaying zentangle art.
Thanks for looking. I hope you take the Zentangle challenge and find peaceful hours as you mindfully place pen to paper. Be well.

Dr. Sonja, what a fabulous idea! Such a thoughtful and practical gift especially during these stressful times. Awesome idea! I'd love to make these for my 7 granddaughters! Thanks for the inspiration! Hugs

Wow, what a gift. At the moment I am still too busy in work, but another go at this is on the "cards", so to speak, over the Christmas holidays. I didn't know about using a tortillon for shading - that makes sense. The magnetic frame looks like a great idea; the time I have on the fridge that a friend sent, she our it in one of those perspex covers which protects it but takes out the tactile feel of the paper.
