Anita is our hostess this week. Her challenge is HERE.
I have to say, her samples are amazing and really inspiring. I'd seen the two easel cards she made using the tutorial back in July, and they were pretty amazing but her samples for today are even more amazing. I liked the way she used one of them in her book fold, which is one I really enjoy. But I struggled to create something that I would actually use, given that I don't have a lot of time at the moment. I scrapped my first idea and decided to try a motorbike. I cut it about 6 times from a cereal box, glued the layers together and then painted with black gesso, and grunged up a bit with a couple of metallic sprays. I stencilled the brick wall at the bottom of the tag with a stencil from The Order of the Planner, using Aged Mahogany DOX, added the sentiment from Verve (Words of Wisdom) and some spatter from Gorgeous Grunge. The motorbike die came from Frantic Stamper. Having done that, I decided that some wings could be good, (don't they say fear lends you wings?) so I stamped and embossed those on white card and then buffed over them with some metallic rub-on from Craft-T, then fussy-cut them and added them to the bike. They come from Art Journey, the set is "Your Wings".
I'll try to come back and edit the fields after work/housework, but all the info pretty much is here.
When I have more time (I get a good Christmas break this year, hurray!) I'll definitely try something in a book. Thanks for the challenge, Anita - this is one I wouldn't have tried without the nudge from you.
The front-on tag is pretty much true colours, but the backlit side one shows the bike better.
