This took me FOREVER to color this morning. And it was really fun. Our cards today are going to Bill in New York. Bill loves books, so Polly's challenge is to be inspired by a book. I searched my stamp collection for books and found this adorable CDD set. And I realized that it reminds me of The Wind in the Willows--one of the only books that I started and never finished. I just didn't care for it, but I do love these sweet critters on my card, and I hope Bill does too.

Jen, your coloring is wonderful...WitW’s was a favorite among my boys. Good thing our world is blessed with endless imaginations and talents. Bet this will remind Bill of the truth in childhood memories!

This does remind me of Wind in the Willows. I did finish the book but I read it in high school and I don't remember much except the characters were all critters. Adorable scene you created and great coloring as usual. Love, love, love the sentiment. I am going to pass it on to my book club.

Those critters are so cute...just their smiling faces would make anyone happy. And I can relate to the one with its nose in a book...got mine in one right now.

Your colouring is unbelievable, it's fantastic!! Such an enchanting and delightful scene.
I always think that The Wind in the Willows is really almost two different books, so it comes across as a bit disjointed.

Your happy critters and great sentiment are just perfect for Bill! Lovely coloring, too!
