Hello, crafty friends! Itâs Color Challenge time. Jeanne is our host this week and the colors she chose for us are Real Red, Cinnamon Cider, and Purple Posy. Gingerbread is the dessert option. Today Iâm sharing a card that combines this weekâs color challenge with a previous sketch challenge.
To create my card, I began by stamping a plaid background using white hybrid ink. It looks very subtle and a little hard to see in the photo. The gingerbread man stamp that I used was a thrift store find and itâs been in my stash for a while. Iâm sure heâs happy to finally come out and play! I stamped him on white cardstock and colored him with Copic markers. Glossy accents were added on to the candy cane, buttons, cheeks, and trim. I then used a circle die to cut him out.
To put the card together, I adhered the gingerbread man on a stitched square die. I also cut a larger stitched square die out of red cardstock and adhered the stamped image on top of it. The letters J O Y were die cut three times and stacked on top of each other. All of the parts were adhered onto a white A2 top folding card.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you feel inspired to join in on the Color Challenge fun.

Marianne... don't you love those thrift store finds? Your lil' gingerbread man is adorable, you did an outstanding job of fulfilling this difficult color challenge (in my opinion)! Cute card! TFS

What a fortunate thrift store find - such as cute stamp. You've done a wonderful job combining the two challenges. And I love the font of the letter dies!

What a cute gingerbread boy, Marianne! I love how you colored him, the stacked greeting, the pierced squares and how cleverly you got in the Purple Posy color!
