| | This card is for Lydia's Falliday Fest challenge and this week's Inspiration challenge. I was inspired by the beautiful colors in this photo of Plaid Crafts fall leaves gallery glass mobile https://plaidonline.com/projects/gal...-leaves-mobile
i die cut the leaves from watercolor paper and glued them onto another piece of watercolor paper. Then I used distress ink to color the panel. I spattered on some water and gold ink but you couldn't see the gold ink so I painted on some gold Stickles. I cut out the large leaf die from a folded piece of green cs, leaving the end hanging out so it wouldn't cut into 2 separate pieces. (It cut beautifully through both pieces of cs.) This gave me a maple leaf shaped card. I used a slightly smaller die to cut the inked panel and glued it to the front of the leaf card. At this point my husband walked into my craft room and said that the card would be perfect to give to his friend who was leaving NY and moving to Florida. Hence the hand written sentiment "You're leaving ..." Ha ha. The inside says " ... that stinks." This card took a while to make but I think it turned out great! TFL |
