The Crafter's of Faith November challenge is focusing on Nehemiah 9:6 You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You.
I used the stamp set illustrated by Theresa Momber, Framescapes Winter Trees. It has many elements to make a winter scene, including the mountains, trees, birds, this hiker, and several other elements. I started with the trees inking them up in a couple of green colors. Then I added the frame using a teal color. I then stamped the scene with Versamark ink, having left the stamp in my MISTI, so I could keep stamping in the same place. It was then embossed with clear embossing powder.
I decided to add the mountains, birds, and then the hiker. The poor hiker got his head chopped a little bit, as he was stamped on top of a place that was embossed. I think it works, as the idea is there.
I added color with Altenew Watercolor Paint, being careful not to smear the hiker as he is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and with a bit of water, he can smear all over the place.
I am pleased with the end result. I think it looks peaceful and shows part of the wonderful world that we live in, keeping me in awe of the majesty of God.
