Hello and welcome to this weekâs Color Challenge. Mary is our host and the colors that she chose for us are Cherry Cobbler, Just Jade and Soft Seafoam. The dessert option is âanything Christmas.â
Christmas Cards are my faves to make. This one was made using Distress Inks and Copic markers. To begin, I cut piece of white cardstock so that it measured 5âx 3-3/4â Then, I used two different Distress Inks and blended them onto the paper. Next, I placed the inked paper into an embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine. It looked very nice but I wanted to add the slightest bit of soft shimmer to it. To do this, I gently blended some white translucent pigment ink over the Distress Inks. I was happy with the results.
The sweetest little snowman stamp is the focus of my card. I stamped, colored, then cut him out and adhered him onto a die cut circle. Since this is a winter scene, there had to be snowflakes. I die cut a few of those and added them to the card front. It may be hard to tell from the photo, but the sentiment was embossed with gold powder.
I hope you enjoy my card and will feel inspired to make one of your own.

Marianne, this little snowman is just so adorable, skiing for fun and recreation! But most of all, I love the beautiful background you created with your Distress inks and white pigment ink. It just glows!
