I really enjoyed looking at Mary's gallery! I loved her birthday cards (with so many candles) and how she recycled tissue boxes, for BG's on cards. I finally decided to CASE a smooshy oxide card she made, as I have the same die. I changed colors, BG technique and used a different embossing folder, but otherwise didn't change anything. I cut the flowers from a BG I'd made using Nuvo shimmer powder on watercolor paper and splattered on some Ken Oliver liquid metals ink in turquoise before it was dry. I placed the piece on a dark green cardstock, framed with the embossed white panel and finished on the same dark green paper. Here's Mary's pretty card.

What a lovely smooshed background you created to die cut and layer over the Pine Feather Sue - The double framings with the dark color define it all nicely and the embossed panel adds great texture!

Love your card and colors, it's simple and so striking. I've forgotten about using the smooshing technique for backgrounds... your card makes me want to create a stash of them for future use... when I have some time, lol
