I love to make my own journals/notebooks/sketchbooks and the best thing is that you can always use your favorite paper for the inside. Cut covers from mat board and coat with gesso. Apply texture paste through the stencil and let dry. When dry, paint with watered-down Distress Paints and when the paints have dried, add some Rock Candy Crackle Paint.
The leaves were stamped on watercolor paper. Smear various colors Distress Ink and Distress Oxide Ink on a non-stick craft sheet, leaving a little space in between each one. Mist with water. Press the individuals leaves into the ink, adding more than one ink color to each set of leaves. The inks will blend on the leaves. Let dry and repeat for even more inky texture.
Cut inside pages, punch holes and arrange the leaves on the cover.
Thank you so much for looking!
Happy stamping!
