A big congrats to Tanya, the newest Featured Stamper! She has a wonderfully fun gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I liked the layout so I kept that & I started to use a floral, but then changed my mine & made it a coffee theme. I used different images, dies & moved the greeting to below the rectangle.
After coloring & die cutting the coffee lover, I used part of a slimline sized bg image to stamp the black rectangle w/ Distress picket fence ink. It was colored in using Prismacolor pencils..I was going for that look you see in coffee shops where they color in & write w/ colored chalk on the blackboard. I framed it in white then added the greeting.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ Copic colors & links: The Write Stuff

Julie, this is such a lovely card. You colored the girl beautifully but I especially love the framed colorful blackboard. What a great idea to color just a part of the slimline image.

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful card! I just love the image! Love how you colored her. I like the changes you made, having a mural and moving the sentiment...I may have to CASE it!

Fabulous take on her card, Julie! I love the coloring of the coffee lover--the highlights in her hair and shading of the scarf are amazing! Great job with the prismacolors on the black, too!
