This card was made for a challenge whose theme was "stitching". What better demonstrates stitching that a quilt? I used a quilt file called that came already loaded on my Brother Scan & Cut CM350 digital cutting machine. If anyone knows what the pattern is called, please let me know! The pattern requires three colors, so I chose holiday red, gree, and white cardstock. After cutting out all the triangles and squares in their appropriate colors, I glued them into the pattern on a base of white cardstock. Then used a plastic hole grid and paper piercing tool to punch "stitching" all around each piece.
The both circles were cut using a die, then hand pierced without a template.
The sentiment was stamped using black ink, and three Swarovski crystals were added. The red strip is the same red as are the quilt pieces.
I think the card looks perfect for the holidays! I am rating the difficulty as a "4" out of a possible "5" because of the need to hand piece the pattern, and to pierce all the piece edges.
