Hi! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new Watercolor Wednesday challenge! We are using Autumn colors this week and a beautiful tutorial by Debbie Hughes. The tutorial is fabulous and I will try to follow it more closely on a future project but this time I went more with the Autumn Theme and the lovely photo Linda attached.
I watercolored the background in a brilliant yellow and then added an autumn grounding. By turning my paintbrush I made wispy grass. Then I painted the tree die cut. I finished the card with a sentiment and falling sequins.
The tree is one of the new Picket Fence Studios Release items which I am showing on my blog today.

Beautiful autumn coloring for the challenge. Love the yellow. When I took that picture, the sun was just rising and had a yellow glow to the sky, which enhanced the tree colors even more. You have captured this with your painting. Lovely card. TFS

Brilliant idea to watercolor a piece of paper and then die cut it for your card. I suspect your walk yesterday inspired the scene of a tree with the leaves falling. Well done!

Angie, I love your take on the challenge this week. Your tree is gorgeous and the bark is so real looking. Your day looks so bright and sunny, too. I love that. Our leaves are just beginning to turn (some of them). Beautiful creation!

If Moses' "burning bush" was a tree, this would be it! Glorious colors and really cool texture on that trunk. This is rather how my Chinese Pistache looks when it turns - though with temps still in the mid 90's it could be a month or more before I actually see any color but green on MY tree.
