Welcome to today's TLC: stray embossing powder. Most of us worry about getting ep where we don't want it and not realizing it until it's melted. No worries today...let that powder shine.

This easy technique is very freeing...who cares how grungy it gets?! I gave this a '2' only because it took a little time to build up the color, like watercolor generally does. I have this very 'fabric-like' watercolor paper, loosely woven, cotton as wc should be, but it's not great for details so I'm a little unhappy with my background, wishing it had more contrast. Everything soaks in, even the ep.

I think luna moths are so beautiful and would like to see one someday. In colder climates like mine, they only create one generation a season, whereas in warmer parts, they can create two or three. Chances of me seeing one are dim for that reason and also because an invasive fly species was introduced to deal with our gypsy moths (horrible!) but turned out the flies were not great for the lunas. I love the bright green color, they seem almost 'glow in the dark.' The other problem is that the moths live only about a week. It's all about mating for them!

Pretty Moth and beautiful moon, I've used woven wc paper too, and painted after I'd embossed the versamark with white EP through the stencil, the colors blended together so pretty, imagine I don't got green in my Dox but the green came by itself mixing the salty ocean with the spiced marmalade, I think that's what makes the difference the inks or water colors you use, I like your peacy lloking background, it looks like fabric.

Oh gosh, I had some watercolour paper like that. It was a large sheet of Fabriano, and I didn't realise it was going to be so different to the pads. I hated it - and I think I had two sheets to get through. In the end I just used it with pencils. But, having said that, I like your background. And I love your pairing of moon and moth with the phase sentiment, and the dusting of frost from the white EP. Your write-up makes me want to pull and read The Girl of the Limberlost again, so much about moths in that.

I love the texture on your cs, Jean! I forgot to use wc paper. Oops! You have the perfect sentiment to go with the moon image. Lovely bg panel. The luna moths where I live are solid green and so huge, you can't miss them.~

Oohhhhhh, so very beautiful! I have been looking for a butterfly to do and haven't found the "right" one. Now I am a bit sad as I have to leave and run errands. Gorgeous, my friend.

This also made me think of The Girl of the Limberlost ... my grandmother had that book and loaned it to me to read when I was a little girl. Sweet memory ... and your luna moth and very appropriate sentiment are sweet, too!

What a pretty and soft outcome with your WC paper/ cloth.
Isn’t that always the way when Nature is interfered with. In Hawaii they introduced the Mongoose to take care of the rat population, only thing is rats are nocturnal and Mongeese get around by day so the Twain never meet. Must check out this challenge, Jean.

I think your embossing looks subtle and serene and goes with the pale dp color very well. Love the purple around the edges and the rhinestones. Thanks for the challenge!
