Six of these give a boost to my stash of Christmas cards. I took the Spanner Panel Card tutorial and pared it down to its bare bones, taking out all the DP and dropping the spanner strip to the base of the card.
The darker card, shown on the right, was my prototype and turned out to be my last sheet of Crafter's Companion kraft card, so the rest of them are made from SU cardstock.
I made the cuts, then embossed the side strips with a starry ef, mostly remembering to only partially emboss so that the stars stop about an inch above the bottom. I stamped the centre with stars in Versamark, Mary and Joseph in black and the sand from Shore Thing as earth.
To create the spanning panel, I used the larger Bethlehem Edgelit. Because I needed to fill the windows (so that the stamping underneath didn't show through) I cut a second layer from assorted coloured scraps, added washi tape to fill the windows, and used it as a shadow layer. After assembling the first couple, I tried adding texture with the Subtle ef and this was a lot better, so I went back and added it to all of them except the prototype.
On the bottom layer I stamped the shepherd, more earth, and added a die-cut sentiment. I added a gold star on the front panel, and that's it...

Incredibly rich and elegant! Beautifully done!
