Wow! Margaretha is turning 102 this month and the Teapotters are sending her paper hugs and birthday wishes. Margaretha loves red and yellow tulips and cats; and, I love Mo's images and found this cutie in her shop.
Well, I made the digital image too large and didn't have room for a sentiment much less a bow. So I tried to sneak it into the title -- do you think Lisa (Shoe Girl) will notice? LOL. And, it needed an interesting background. I noticed Holstein's beautiful card this morning when I was glancing at the gallery. I had not intended to CASE her card, but I loved the look of her embossed background and that gave me the idea to do the same. Here's a link to Holstein's fabulous card:
I created my background by brayering wet DOs onto white paper. Embossed the page and then lightly ran the ink pad over the raised images. Matted and assembled. I think anyone turning 102 should have a little bling as well, so I popped on a few rhinestones for good measure.
It's sad that in this time of COVID families and friends cannot meet up to celebrate. But, I hope Margaretha feels a flood of love from the birthday wishes coming from this fabulous SCS group. Have a great day and TFL.

How adorable is this, Debbie! Love that you not only got tulips in but you have such a cute cat on this too. And you colored her fave colors of tulips. Well done, my friend. Your background looks gorgeous! She will love this as I do!

L-O-V-E your background (thank you for sharing the technique) and your image is just perfect .... both the tulips and the kitty to personalize the card for Margaretha's interests!! This card is certainly a winner!!

I so love your colors and your beautiful background. Your sweet image will be so enjoyed, and love the bling too! Love your beautiful coloring and so personalized for the recipient- and wow to 102! You are so right- too bad our elders are in pandemic isolation, but good to stay safe too!

Debbie, this is gorgeous and adorable as well! Image, color/shading, and framing layers are perfection. What an amazing card. The ink/embossed BG layer just adds to the beauty. I pinned this for a shading refrence!
