This card uses many Perfect Pearls Techniques that are taught at Ranger U and were passed along to me! http://rangerink.com/tips_ppearls.html can get you started on some of the wonderful techniques!
On the greenish black background I used the Northern Lights Technique, only I blew my heat cut across the top of it to create a little veining similar to that in the Textured Stone Technique. (see website) I used Gold, Green Patina, Heirloom Gold, and Kiwi Perfect Pearls on this paper.
On the Terra Cotta paper, I used the Faux Leather Technique. First I misted my paper with Perfect Ink Refresher and then I crumpled the paper, rubbing some areas of paper with my bone folder. I then applied Heirloom Gold, Pewter, and Rust Perfect Pearls with the Duster Brush, rubbing them in with my finger and the brush. Then I ironned the paper partially flat. I also edged the paper with Ranger's Nick Bantock Lamp Black Ink Pad.
The stamped piece uses the Faux Polished Metal technique. I took a Sizzix Wavy Square chipboard diecut and applied Perfect Medium to it, then melted two layers of Black UTEE onto it. I rubbed Green Patina and Pewter Perfect Pearls into the cooled piece with my finger. I then inked my stamp with Perfect Medium and coated it in a mixture of the two embossing powders and heated the UTEE and stamped into it. I wasn't entirely thrilled so I proceeded to rub Posh Metallic Inkabilities Luminous Metallic Green and Precious Metals Rich Gold into the piece. I smeared a small pool of Posh Inkabilities Luminous Metals Copper onto my Non-Stick Craft Mat and then lightly pressed the top of the UTEE image onto it and rubbed/buffed the ink in.
The handle was made using an Accucut Die Cut that I used the Hammered Perfect Faux Metal Technique on. Normally you would use multiple layers of cardstock, but I wound up just using my top layer. I applied Perfect Ink Refresher to the diecut and then dusted on Copper, Heirloom Gold, Pewter, and Rust Perfect Pearls. I misted the piece with water and hammered it with the blunt ends of my Perfect Pearls Brushes.
The "fibers" are simply very thin cuts of my Northern Lights paper that I twisted and used as a fiber substitute.

Thanks! There are sooo many things that you can do with Perfect Pearls, it's so cool I usually go for very subtle shimmer, but this piece, everything except for the solid black shines when you tip it and I love it! Especially because everything has a texture, but it's still soft, you know? However, this is not a card you could just mail in an envelope, but well worth the in person giving and what not!
