I had bought this little stamp set last January at a stamp show. (Remember when we could go such places?) ;) I think I've used it before now, but I'm not sure. I did use it on 2 cards this week.
I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black ink onto vellum bristol paper that I'd cut to size as per the sketch. I used my colored pencils to color it, blending out the colors with Gamsol on paper blending stumps. After I had finished coloring, I fussy cut along the bottom, just so his tail & little paws would stick out below the panel onto the green mat. I used a black brush-tip marker to "paint" along the edges of the stamped lines to mask the white core of the paper.
After I matted my image panel with green, I stamped the greeting with Milk Chocolate ink.
I cut my patterned paper strips to 4x7/8", and adhered them to a 4x5-1/4" panel of scrap cardstock. I did have to trim the top & bottom strip about 1/16" narrower, since the panel ended up being 5-3/8" tall. I adhered my matted image panel to the middle of an A2 panel of brown cardstock, and used a Perfect Paper Layers ruler to cut it out with an additional 1/16" mat on all sides. I adhered the resulting brown cardstock "frame" to a white card base, then mounted my strip panel to that, covering the opening in the brown. Finally, I adhered my focal panel to the card front.
