I make my own tags using up all the stash of CS I have so none are of a standard size. I just go with the flow.
Iâve been taking some TH classes online and watched so many videos that my eyes are seeing double and not to mention how many evenings Iâve fallen asleep during his videos. He has such a soothing voice...no disrespect to his videos..they are awesome and Iâve learnt lots. I did think, however, that I needed to practice what Iâve learnt and who better to practice with and share these techniques with than our poppets (DGC).
We started with the wrinkle free distress technique putting down colour on our craft mats, spritzing water and smooshing it onto our tags. We also did the spray and flick technique which they loved and got a little carried away with their water lol.
They stopped there and put theirs in their art journals, so I carried on later with mine. I found that adding more colour and blending it on the tag it gives a more vibrant look...something else Iâd learnt in the video. I have done this technique before but not blended after smooshing. I love the effect and vibrant colours.
I stamped my images and we had all been playing around with my TH mixed media die cuts and smooshing that through our left over inks. I chose one of my panels, cut it down, blended more colours and then added it as a pocket on my tag. Die cut the sentiment and popped that into the pocket.
I will use this tag on a future scrapbook LO and add photos into the pocket.
TFL. Happy day
