For this week's Free 4 All challenge, found HERE we are celebrating September Splitcoasties and their blue birthstone, sapphires. Our challenge to you is to make a card/project where the main color is blue OR make a card with your own birthstone color and tell which month.
It seems an age since I was last capable of making a card and joining in at SCS. I know these feelings will pass - eventually! Thankfully Robin's F4A team forward plan each months theme, so I was able to make this card several months ago.
This nautical creature is a clear stamp by Pink Ink Designs, stamped onto copy paper, then coloured with Prismacolour pencils, Zest it pencil blend and a colourless blending pencil. After adhering her to the background using a glue stick, I added a gazillion birthstones aka liquid pearls and Stickles, extending them passed the image and onto the background.
On the package she has a beautiful serene and thoughtful look on her face, so I was somewhat surprised that she had a very different expression once on the card- who knew sticking her nose one degree higher would have such an effect. I am very pleased about this though, it feels like I got two stamps for the price of one LOL.
Now that she had lost her serene look I had no idea what sentiment to use, until a friend said she was absolutely exhausted at how stupid people can be. I had a light bulb moment and remembered I had a stamp that said the same sort of thing (thank you Susan One4Joy for the RAK).
The background is a result of cleaning a stencil and left over acrylic paint (using my fingers) on a piece of polypropylene paper that protects my desk.
Thanks very much for looking and happy birthday to all the "Sapphire" splitcoasties. Stay safe.

I think I am missing an opportunity not owning any Pink Ink images...that is one beautiful and bold woman! And I totally agree with her.
We are thankful you brought her to life...baby steps, after a time away, we all need those. (Of course, some more than others...pass the MOJO juice, 'k?)
The shell hairpiece is stunning. Makes me want to go through my hat collection...but then I'd be all dressed up with nowhere to go. Love your bold artistic choices, bet Eunice was green with envy...

Susie - it is so very good to see you back again in the gallery with this spectacular effort. I wish I could have a little look at her jewellery box. She certainly this lots of lovely Bling to pick from and obviously loves showing it off. Yes that sentiment is just perfect for me too. Stay safe down there. Things are slowly starting to improve for you all.
