The "Hot Mess Success" challenge is to "go messy on a card". Not in my comfort zone. Not. in. my. comfort. zone.
This month I used a Swink technique that I saw in a video on Ardyth's blog. As per her directions, I swiped ink directly onto a piece of cardstock with a stencil on top. I set that paper aside for future use and spritzed water onto the stencil before putting it down on a clean sheet of cardstock, hoping for a beautiful negative impression of the stencil. What I got instead was lots and lots of little spots of ink.
That's okay - I can work with spots.
Thanks for the inspiration, Ardyth!

This is so pretty, Jeanette! I love the splatters & opposing rounded corners. I hear you on the "not messy" part. I have the same problem w/ distressing things. Seems a waste to mess up a perfectly good piece of paper.

Just pinned this gem! Love your swipe & spritz...makes a perfect Bg for stamped tone on tone color. Not only do I love the mod dies. The addition of the black and white trim is ingenious! Gorgeous.
