This is my card for mixed media challenge #05. This challenge was to use crinkled masking tape. I decided to also try the same technique with washi tape, so I have both on my card. I also added some magic mesh, tissue paper, and some die cut chipboard pieces, and then coated everything with gesso. My sister had given me a set of ink refills by Posh Impressions. Since they don't go with any ink pads, I thought they would work well for this background. I dripped some ink on and then spritzed with water to allow the ink to bleed and spread. The bird, birdcage, and leaves were painted white and then I added ink refill to color them. I outlined all the chipboard pieces with a black pitt pen. The words were hand written and cut out. This took me forever, but I like how it turned out.
