Jen I'm not sure I prefer any color, I think I love them all...but I like to match so I've took out blue and purple brusho, misted with water on a coffee filter, dried with hot gun, cold embost the die cut circle partially, added lace, die cut the leaves and made a little bow from thread, printed Painter Bonnie and colored with markers and white gel pen, I've added a left over strip from the coffee filter on the inside.

I am in awe of great artists like you who have such a breadth of great talent in so many areas in art--wow!!! I also LOVE when I learn from so many great artists on SCS, and you are certainly at the top of my list for many reasons, including your absolutely WONDERFUL embroidery.
Last week, I received the most DELIGHTFUL envelope filled with supplies and great instruction on how to embroider on paper, I have thanked you privately but I HAD to thank you here as well. Right now I'm not well enough to embark on learning this being in the midst of some very painful, exhausting treatments--I just get over one round and it's time to go back for another. But I am beyond excited to learn and I hope that over much time and practice to be able to do this technique and art-form justice. I am sending a packet of hand-stitching products to another SCS member in the coming week, so that she can try out the hand-stitching cross-stitch type of stitching to see if she would like enough to purchase a die... How I love this great place of learning, sharing, and encouraging each other, here at Splitcoaststampers!!!
I am loving how you have used the brushos powdered color, something I have not played with and don't own, although I have been tempted to just buy perhaps 3 colors to play with... And partially embossing that same area using the brushos is genius!
The delicate leaves in white really emphasize them and add texture and dimension. Your darling painter is colored with such finesse, the white gel pen adds so much with your artistic shading. All I can say is WOW!!!
Anita, you are truly a great artist, and I am so in awe of your great talent and imaginative artwork. Thank you for teaching through your art, thank you for your generosity, thank you for sharing your great talent here on SCS. Your artwork has such maturity, imagination, and breadth of styles and techniques.
I favorited this, and look forward to looking at this more... Later today (Sunday, September 13th), I will be listing this card in my CAS Favorites.
